How do you build a legacy that transcends generations? At Mascor we have learnt that it takes hard work, patience – and a lot of passion.
Over the past 50 years, our company has grown from a small parts outlet in Kranskop, KZN, to a multinational supplier of agricultural solutions. It is an undisputable fact that none of this would have been possible without the support of our customers, the farmers who, over the last 50 years, have evolved into businessmen, marketers, scientists and meteorologists – all rolled into one. The level of precision needed to prosper in agriculture today did not even exist in 1967 when Mascor first opened its doors. Therefore, listening to what our customers want and need, as well as ensuring that they have as much input into how they want to be served as we have in serving them, has enabled Mascor to adapt to this ever evolving market. This is the Mascor philosophy which has assured our company’s growth for half a century – with no signs of slowing down.
To be able to provide solutions, as well as add value to an industry that has transformed so rapidly, takes a special team of people with an exceptional passion for what they do. Thousands of people have been part of the Mascor story over the last five decades – and their positive contributions make up part of our DNA today. One thing, however, has remained at the center of everything that we do: our dedication to delivering the best service; the best products; and to add value for every customer who chooses to do business with us.
With a proven recipe of how to sustain growth and serve our customers with distinction, we at Mascor are proud to celebrate our 50th birthday with you: the customers, business partners and staff members who have all contributed towards reaching this milestone for which we thank-you sincerely.
But it is with mixed feelings that we celebrate this milestone, as we sadly had to say goodbye to our Chairman, Mr. Brian Corbishley, who passed away in January 2017. His influence and vision have unwaveringly guided Mascor through the decades of change and growth. His passion for the need to feed billions of people is still the cornerstone of our business ideology and we proudly carry his legacy forward into the next generation, led by our very capable new Chairman, Mr. Michael Yeadon.
At Mascor, we have never been in favour of standing still or remaining static; however, as we continue to evolve with the needs of our customers and the ever-changing market, one thing will remain constant – our commitment to remain true to our slogan: Performance that Endures.
